Quickly nipping out to gather a vase of fresh roses before her guests arrive was not one of anna’s wisest decisions. As she absentmindedly trims her rose bush, her clowder of cats is wreaking havoc in the living room.
Grandpa has some help raking leaves outside, while inside his garden shed havoc is being wreaked by a litter of adorable kittens. A bird and a butterfly are being carefully studied by some, while others are intent on unraveling a ball of twine or knocking over flowerpots.
Most of us need somewhere quiet to retreat to; somewhere we can pursue our hobbies and interests, sit quietly and shrug off the stresses and strains of everyday life. For those lucky enough to enjoy such a space, these “havens” can often be found in the humble garden shed.
This highly detailed and colourful puzzle shows just such a place … a cute little shed where the owner can pursue her love of card making, painting, scrapbooking and all things crafty. What a wonderful place to create gifts and greetings cards, or just sit and look at the beautiful garden and view beyond.
The owner of this well-organised shed has stepped away from their sewing machine for a moment. The patchwork quilt on the machine appears to be almost finished, with just the outer binding to do. Other favourite projects seem to be soft toys and pretty little hearts, which hang around the working area amongst the threads, ribbons, and pieces of fabric. Through the window we get a glimpse of the garden and wonderful rolling hills beyond. What a fantastic place to sit and sew!
The owner of this shed appears to be a skilled potter, if the wonderful vase on the potter’s wheel is anything to go by. We wonder how many of the colourful pots and vases have been made by our elusive potter? The bright striped vases seem to be a recurring theme, as do the owl flowerpots and “green man” wall plaques. But not everything is made by the shed’s owner, as the colourful art deco vase on the Welsh Dresser is by Clarice Cliff! We think our skilled potter has just stepped away for a moment or two, perhaps to make a cup of tea in the pretty thatched cottage we can see through the open window. What a great place to live!
