style CURIOUS KITTENS
In July 1969 a record-breaking 600 million people watched live TV coverage of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. Apollo’s prime mission was to “Perform a manned lunar landing and return”.
The mission was inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 announcement that the USA should send an American safely to the moon before the end of the decade. The three-man crew (Commander Neil Armstrong, Lunar Module Pilot Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin and Command Module Pilot Michael Collins) undertook the nine-day mission, which saw Armstrong and Aldrin walk on the moon’s surface and collect valuable rock samples.
They left behind them a plaque that included the text “We came in peace for all mankind”, alongside commemorative medals bearing the names of American astronauts and Russian cosmonauts who died during the quest to be first to reach the moon. This specially-designed image captures much of the detail and excitement of that historic time.
High quality 1000 piece cardboard jigsaw puzzle. The finished puzzle measures 70 x 50cm when complete. Suitable for ages 12 years and up. Made from strong premium grade cardboard, with linen finish print to minimise glare on puzzle image.
This intricate and colourful design contains huge amounts of detail and will ensure many hours of puzzling fun!
This puzzle is challenging to complete and also very relaxing too. Plus, it’s a great way to unplug, relax, and destress.
Perfect to relax or a great way to have fun on a rainy day with the whole family.
